Canadian Hydrokinetic Turbine Testing Centre
The Canadian Hydrokinetic Turbine Testing Centre (CHTTC) at Seven sisters is open now. The objective of the CHTTC is to create a national hydrokinetic test location that allows Canadian companies to test turbine systems. The centre is located on the Winnipeg River in the community of Seven Sisters. This project assists in accelerating Canada’s development of hydrokinetic turbine technologies. This test centre helps address the identified pre-commercialization needs contained in the Canadian Marine Renewable Energy Technology Roadmap.
