C-CORE
Established in 1975 to address challenges facing offshore developments, C-CORE is now a multi-disciplinary research and technology development organization with world-leading expertise in oceans and energy, remote sensing, as well as geotechnical and ice engineering.
C-CORE is a separately incorporated entity (SIE) of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador that creates value by growing knowledge, developing technology solutions and driving innovation in our oceans on land and in space. C-CORE is active on every continent, providing research-based advisory services and technology solutions to national and international clients in the energy, natural resource, transportation and security sectors. C-CORE focuses on long-term value by investing in research, equipment and competence development, and continuously growing capability and capacity. With a staff of 85+ scientists, engineers and other professionals, we bring scientific rigor and business discipline to bear on real-world problems.
Headquartered in St John's, NL, with offices in Ottawa and Halifax, C-CORE maintains a close collaborative relationship with Memorial University and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), sharing and augmenting its extensive facilities, diverse academic expertise and research portfolio. We are also home to LOOKNorth, a Canadian national Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research dedicated to remote sensing innovation that supports responsible, sustainable resource development.
