The Atlantic Canada Bulk Terminal is located on the Canadian Atlantic Coast at the mouth of the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The facility is situated on the crossroads of the major North Atlantic East/West trade route and the North/South trade route from Canada to South America.
The facility is 110 acres with direct waterfront access to Sydney Harbour. The terminal is year round operational. The facility has 1,170 feet of wharf face with water depths in excess of 43 ft. The terminal lands are flat with high ground bearing capacity. The facility is ISPS certified and is a bonded warehouse.
The terminal efficiently handles a wide variety of bulk and specialized cargo including bulk commodities, industrial machinery and renewable components. The terminal is ideally situated to support both US and Canadian offshore wind developments. Currently the facility is receiving monopiles and transition pieces for US offshore wind projects.
